Last Tuesday Andrew was invited by Sister Yos to sit as architectural advisor in a project to build a new extension in Santa Ursula, an all-girls catholic school in Jl. Pos, Jakarta.
The school is one of the top and oldest in Indonesia, founded in 1857. There is an old chapel inside, a lush garden, and a large open square framed by linear stretches of its historic building. It feels like a hidden oasis in the middle of central Jakarta.
The new building will house a new auditorium, more classrooms, and educational facilities. It is an honour to be part of this, and to serve, hoping the school will get the best new extension.
